Reverse Osmosis

We use Reverse Osmosis filtration when you're looking to achieve the purest, finest, and cleanest tasting drinking water. According to the CDC, Reverse Osmosis Systems have a very high effectiveness in removing protozoa (for example, Cryptosporidium, Giardia);

  • Reverse Osmosis Systems have a very high effectiveness in removing bacteria (for example, Campylobacter, Salmonella, Shigella, E. coli);
  • Reverse Osmosis Systems have a very high effectiveness in removing viruses (for example, Enteric, Hepatitis A, Norovirus, Rotavirus);
  • Reverse Osmosis Systems will remove common chemical contaminants (metal ions, aqueous salts), including sodium, chloride, copper, chromium, and lead; may reduce arsenic, fluoride, radium, sulfate, calcium, magnesium, potassium, nitrate, and phosphorous.

Want to understand how it works? To put it simply, Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that removes contaminants from water by pushing it through a semi-permeable membrane. This membrane has very small pores that allow only water molecules to pass through while blocking larger molecules like salts, bacteria, and other impurities listed above.
